Web Release Notes: October 15, 2026

This Emburse Captio release adds reference-country settings for Emburse Assurance. It also resolves issues with reconciled expenses, repeated travel approval actions, and the Invoice Recovery user filter.

Highlights

  • Reference Countries: Administrators can manage country settings for their environment and individual users.
  • Reconciled Expenses: Automatic category limits no longer overwrite payment details.
  • Travel Requests: Repeated clicks no longer submit additional actions while the original action is processing in the same browser tab.
  • Invoice Recovery: You can select users from the search results and filter their records.

New Functionality

ADMIN

Configure Reference Countries for Emburse Assurance

Administrators can now configure a reference country for their environment and individual users when Emburse Assurance is enabled. You can save the environment country in your preferences and assign, change, or clear a country when you create or edit a user.

New users can be created without an assigned country. End users cannot change their own country through their personal details.

Bug Fixes

EXPENSE

Preserve Payment Details on Reconciled Expenses

Previously, assigning a category with an automatic amount limit after reconciliation could overwrite expense amounts and cause inconsistent values in reports. Expenses reconciled to card transactions or bank payments now retain the payment amount, currency, and date when you change the category.

Reconciliation also updates the original expense amount from the payment so that report amounts remain consistent. Automatic category limits continue to apply to unreconciled expenses.

TRAVEL

Prevent Duplicate Actions From Repeated Clicks

Users who requested, approved, or rejected travel requests could trigger duplicate actions by selecting a confirmation control more than once. The web application now blocks additional submissions in the same browser tab while the original action is processing. This prevents repeated clicks from causing duplicate workflow changes or comments.

INVOICE RECOVERY

Filter Invoice Recovery Records by User

Previously, users with access to Invoice Recovery could search for a user but could not select an entry from the results. You can now select a user and apply the filter to display the corresponding records. Clearing the filters removes the user selection and restores the full list.
